Recognition and funding

The château of selles sur Cher benefits from the fact that it was recognised as an Historic Monument in 1985. This means that it qualifies for funding and also that all restoration will be done under the supervision of the Direction Régionale des Affaires Culturelles (D.R.A.C)

The terms of funding mean that the château owner must use an architect who is registred by the D.R.A.C ans similarly all the workmen used on the site must have been recognised by the D.R.A.C for their expertise.

The status of historic monument is also a guarantee of confidence for donors and anyone wishing to contribuate to the improvement of this site of historic interest.
